Privacy policy

Of the tools on this site, the large majority run entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. When you merge a PDF, resize a photo, convert HEIC to JPG or count words, the file is read by your own browser, worked on there, and written back out as a download. It is never transmitted to any server, which means there is nothing for anyone — including us — to see, store or lose.

Every tool page shows a badge stating how that specific tool works. If it says the file stays on your device, that is literally true of that page.

A small number of tools cannot run in a browser and send your file to our server. These are the ones that compress a PDF to an exact target size, read text from a scan (OCR), convert Word, Excel or PowerPoint to PDF and back, and add or remove a PDF password. Those tasks need software that has no reliable browser equivalent.

For those tools, your file is held for a maximum of 15 minutes and then deleted. That limit is enforced three ways: your download link is cryptographically signed and stops working once it expires, a background job sweeps expired files every minute, and the server clears anything left behind when it restarts. Files are processed in Mumbai, India (Google Cloud asia-south1).

We do not read, copy, analyse or train anything on your documents. There is no code path that does so.

You cannot sign up, and there is nothing to sign in to. We hold no name, no email address and no password for you, because we never ask for any.

Two small things are saved in your own browser, using local storage rather than cookies: whether you prefer light or dark mode, and the handful of tools you used most recently so they can be offered at the top of the homepage.

Both stay on your device. They are not transmitted anywhere, are not readable by us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure loading performance. Both are cookieless and neither builds a profile of you across sites. They record things like which page was visited, roughly where in the world the request came from, and how quickly the page rendered. They never receive your files, because the files are not part of a page view.

Like any website, requests reach us through hosting and CDN infrastructure that processes your IP address in order to deliver the page. We do not keep our own log of IP addresses against the files you processed. Per-day usage limits are available in the code but are switched off.

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you rights over personal data about you. Because we hold no account and delete uploads within 15 minutes, in practice there is usually nothing of yours left to access, correct or erase by the time you could ask.

This site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect personal data at all.
