Who runs this

FileToolHub is built and maintained by Aditya Tarar, a software engineer with over four years of experience building web applications. It is not a company and has no team — one person writes the code, the tool pages and the guides, which is also why you can reach that person directly at supportfiletoolhub@gmail.com.

Why it exists

Most people who end up here arrived with a narrow, annoying problem. A government or exam portal will not accept a document because it is three kilobytes over a limit. A photo needs to be an exact size in centimetres. A scan will not compress no matter how many times it is run through a compressor.

The existing tools for these jobs tend to be built for a general audience and say nothing about the specific rules an Indian application form imposes. This site tries to answer the actual question — what size does this form want, and how do you get there — rather than offering a generic slider.

How the tools are built

Wherever it is technically possible, a tool runs inside your browser and your file never leaves your device. That is a privacy decision first, but it also makes the tools fast, keeps them free, and means they work on a slow connection.

A few jobs genuinely cannot work that way — compressing a scanned PDF to an exact size, reading text from an image, converting Office documents. Those go to a server, and the privacy policy says exactly which ones and what happens to the file.

On the calculators

The finance calculators are written from published rules — income tax slabs, gratuity and HRA formulas, the way banks actually compound a recurring deposit. They are checked against the source when the rules change, and each one states the financial year it applies to. They are still estimates, and the disclaimer explains why that distinction matters before you rely on a number.

How it is paid for

Running costs are currently covered out of pocket. There are no ads on the site today, no signup, no usage limits and no watermark added to anything you download. If that changes, it will be stated here rather than discovered.

Corrections

If a calculator gives a wrong answer, a tool breaks, or a page states a document size limit that no longer matches the real form, that is worth telling us about and it gets fixed. The contact page says how.
