Presentations get converted to PDF for two reasons: so the recipient sees the slides exactly as designed regardless of which software they have, and so nobody edits them by accident. A PDF also opens on any phone without PowerPoint installed, which matters when you are sending slides to someone who will read them on the move. This tool converts .pptx, .ppt and .odp files. It runs on our server, since a browser cannot render a presentation, and your file is deleted automatically within fifteen minutes.
Animations and transitions do not survive, by definition
A PDF is a fixed document, so anything that depends on time or interaction is lost. Builds where bullet points appear one at a time are flattened to the final state of the slide — everything visible at once. Transitions between slides disappear entirely, as do embedded video and audio. If your deck relies on a build to make its point, it is worth restructuring those slides before converting, because the flattened version can read as cluttered in a way the animated version never did.
Speaker notes are not included
The conversion produces the slides as the audience sees them, without the notes pane. That is usually what you want when sending a deck out, but check it is what you intended if the notes carry information the slides do not. If you need the notes included, export from PowerPoint using the notes-pages layout first, then convert that file. Similarly, if you want handouts with several slides per page, set that up in PowerPoint before converting rather than expecting it here.

Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted, and deleted automatically within fifteen minutes.
